The Fellowship

Warriors

A structured mentorship and transformation programme for 15 Warriors. Four pillars.

One new Warrior identity. Our Year 1 pilot runs in Nigeria, with a competitive application process.

Who it’s for: high-potential individuals aged 20–40 living with SCD in Nigeria (Year 1 pilot). Full commitment to the 12 weeks, and a willingness to share your story.

What Warriors Gain

A mentor who’s lived it. Matched with a professional aged 30–50 who also lives with SCD and has built a career, a family, and an extraordinary life.

A 12-week curriculum. Four pillars delivered by SCD clinicians, HR professionals, and mental-health practitioners.

A peer cohort. Fifteen Warriors moving through it together — the network that outlasts the programme.

A 5-year vision. You finish with a concrete plan for career, health, family, and life — not just survival.

The Curriculum

Four Warrior Pillars

Our intensive curriculum is engineered to equip you with the exact tools needed to navigate corporate life and independent health.

Mental Resilience

Career Stability

Adult Care Navigation

Strategic Wellness

Overcoming the ‘patient’ stigma. Trauma-informed coaching, peer support, and building a Warrior identity with a long-term life vision beyond SCD.

Disclosure strategy, SCD-friendly industries, requesting reasonable adjustments, and navigating the corporate world with confidence.

Building your Medical Passport, navigating adult hospital systems, self-advocacy in clinical settings, and a briefing on global SCD breakthroughs.

Breathwork for pain management, nutrition for haematological health, and financial literacy — wellness treated as a clinical intervention, not an add-on.

Mentorship

What We Ask of Mentors

Time. Roughly four hours a month across the cohort — enough to build a relationship that matters.

Lived experience. Mentors are Warriors too: professionals living with SCD who’ve built careers and lives worth sharing.

Presence. Direct 1:1 mentoring, honest guidance, and a willingness to be seen — including a feature in The PATH campaign.

Integrity. Professionalism and confidentiality. All mentors are vetted before being matched.
